To Market To Market

On Saturday 1 October we drove to the beautiful town of Stansbury and wandered around the seaside markets - and who can go to the markets without being tempted by a purchase or two or three?  We were taken with some local produce and walked back to the car heavily laden with bags and 2 trays of English box hedge so we can start our garden border - about 140 little hedges in total - so guess what we are doing on Sunday - planting 140 little box hedges!  But- back to Stansbury.  I was told that the Stansbury Dalrymple Hotel offers good food and a fine wine list - and we were not disappointed - what a tasty lunch we had and what a great view - and the owners- just lovely - so thanks Letitia http://www.thewhiteshed.com.au/ you were right on the money.  This is now going to be a favourite watering hole for the Colliver's.
After a drive, our next stop was Curramulka Hotel - and again under good advice - and again true to their word, this cosy little country pub serves up a delicious dinner on Friday and Saturday nights - homemade chilli fettuccine - mouth watering. With our bellies full and having met some very clever & friendly Hotel owners, we make our way back to Maitland - what a great day - Sunday - back to reno reality.
